Kafkaesque: Class 8

I didn’t get around to updating this blog for class 7, so I’ll summarize it all here. Over the past week, I’ve fixed up several assets that needed a little help (the couch, the sink, and others) and UVed everything for the kitchen, bathroom, living room, and rooftop.

Character scale is still an issue, as it is difficult to determine optimal scale with a character who is not yet rigged (he’s in an A-pose, which affects height). Josie assured us that the rig would be finished by Friday, so that will be resolved by the next class.

Today, I’ve been working on a test of the softbody simulation. Currently, the issue is that even at the maximum stiffness constraints, Quentin’s geometry is such that he flattens out too much.
